Last year 1,046 boxes were made at Blue Moon Scrapbooking next door!
This year the goal is 1500 boxes!!!
Operation Christmas Child delivers shoeboxes to poor children in over 100 countries every year.  You invited to stop by and stuff a shoebox (or more!) with us at Big Heart.  Use the supplies we've collected or add your own donations.

Samaritan's Purse Shoebox packers are needed November 5th and 7th- 11th at Big Heart.
Children are encouraged to come and make some boxes.
Allow a little extra time at Big Heart to make a few boxes after drinking your favorite locally roasted coffee (Presta, Arbuckles, Hermosa, Yellow Brick or Pangean).
No charge, but there are a few requirements on items to be in each box.
Any donations of new toys or monetary would be a blessing, but not required.
It's a great time to make a difference for a child and meet new friends!

Thanks to the Franklin Family!

Ronald McDonald House

October is
We are very excited to be able to support such a worthy cause as the Ronald McDonald House in Tucson.

One of our favorite ideas for vounteering is being Chef for a day at the House.  You and your family or a group of friends, coworkers, church groups, meetup groups... can get together and have a culinary, fun time!
"We all love “comfort food.” At Ronald McDonald House, the term takes on new meaning through the home-cooked meals we provide at no additional cost to our guests. Our Chef for a Day program is a satisfying, creative and fun way for a group to volunteer. Put your team’s culinary skills to the best possible use by scheduling a time to cook for our families."

The Ronald McDonald House place to be a FAMILY.

During one of life’s most challenging times, the Ronald McDonald House helps you focus on what’s most important… family.

We understand the value of a home-cooked meal, a chance to do a load of laundry, a safe and friendly place for your kids to just "be kids." We help you give 100% of your time and energy to your child because, most of all, we understand the value of time together as a family, when time is at its most precious.

If you must travel more than 30 miles to receive medical care for a sick or injured child, you can stay with us, at no cost, for as long as your child is receiving treatment.
KEEPING FAMILIES CLOSE
