Samaritan's Purse Shoebox packers are needed November 4th and 10th at Big Heart.
Everyone, especially children are encouraged to come and make some boxes.
Allow a little extra time at Big Heart to make a few boxes after drinking your favorite Tucson roasted coffee (Presta, Arbuckles, Yellow Brick and Hermosa).
FREE EVENT, but there are a few requirements on items to be put into each box (like pencils, paper...)  All items to be boxed will be at Big Heart.  They just need YOU to pack the boxes full!
Any donations of new toys or monetary would be a blessing, but not required.
Looking for washcloths and toys, especially for boys.
It's a great time to make a difference for a child and meet new friends!
Thanks to the Franklin Family!

Donation to Tucson Wildlife Center

Big Heart was able to donate $647.00 to
 the Tucson Wildlife Center!

Just so happened, we found an owl in our yard a few days ago and went out to the Wildlife Center on Speedway to drop it off.  The Wildlife Center has the nicest staff!

Tucson Conquistadore Foundation in October

Big Heart Coffee is proud to sponsor the Tucson Conquistadore Foundation this month.

The Foundation’s goal - to build an endowment fund that will generate guarantee funds for the future of the youth of Southern Arizona. The Conquistadores have made a difference in thousands of individual lives.
Key beneficiaries of the Conquistadores' fund-raising efforts have been The First Tee of Tucson, Tucson and Pima County Junior Golf Programs, the Field of Dreams/Challenger Little League sports complex, Boys and Girls Clubs in Tucson, Sierra Vista and Nogales, Pima County Special Olympics, Educational Enrichment Foundation, Tucson Urban League and the YMCA.

The Tucson Conquistadores Foundation’s goal is to build an endowment that will generate a minimum of $1 million per year to support such programs. The advantage of an endowment is that it is perpetual and provides permanent annual support.

Your contributions are governed by a conservative investment policy to protect your donation and the endowment. Beneficiaries of grants will continue to be scrutinized so the most needy, most-deserving kids benefit from your contributions.

As they have since 1962, the youth of Southern Arizona are counting on the Conquistadores for support for athletic endeavors. To meet this mission, it is essential that the Foundation be endowed to support future generations of young athletes.
